Sundays in Bed With Trapped and School for Psychics

Welcome to our Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

We’re done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate!  Maybe someday we’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now we feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.

This morning Kim is reading:

Kate here, Kim's weekends are getting busier and busier as she gears up for the end of the school year, but I'm glad she's continuing this series.  She started reading about Atticus and Oberon long before I did, but then Hearne came to the bookstore, and I pretty much binge-listened almost the whole series in about a month.  The final book in the series came out recently, and I read that as well- totally recommending this series, especially on audio! Hope Kim gets a little time for this book, but I know she's working hard on helping kids pass their math classes so they can either graduate or move up a grade.  Good luck, Kim!

This morning Kate is reading:

I'm listening to this one on audiobook and really liking it so far.  Main character Teddy thinks she's just good at cards, and is on medication for what doctor's diagnosis as seizures. At 24 years of age, she's living in her parent's garage apartment, banned from casinos who assume she's cheating at cards, and owes quite a lot of money to a bad man.  Then she gets an offer too good to refuse- a chance to go to school for psychics.

I love the school idea, the mix of secret government programs along with classes on how to control your abilities.  It's as if Firestarter or Carrie met up with The Magicians.  It's the first book in the series, and I'm here for it.
