Sundays In Bed With Moonstruck and A Guide For Murdered Children

Welcome to our Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

We’re done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate!  Maybe someday we’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now we feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.

This morning Kim is reading:

Kim is off enjoying her summer vacation and she's in the mood for contemporary romance!  Hope she's enjoying this one in between bouts of fun and relaxation!

This morning Kate is reading:

I'm almost done with the audiobook for this and it's morbidly amazing!  The book is about the idea that murdered children get the chance to come back to life, briefly, in the bodies of recently deceased adults, in order to get revenge on their murderers.  Think of the Polar Express meets The Crow, and then throw a whole bunch of weirdness at it.  The characters are great- from ex-homicide, very recent ex-addict and newly cold case Det. Willow Wylde, to the children themselves.

There's a lot going on in the book, so I can't listen at my usual 2x speed (I had to slow it down to 1.5x).  This book isn't for everyone- the title alone will probably turn off some readers- but I'm glad my friend Juliana recommended it to me.  Weird and morbid is kind of my thing. ;)
